...but we are still doing our best to bring out some
christmas spirit.
Last sunday, the German Church held their annual Christmas
Bazaar – and I did my best to find new homes for our wooden angels.
The typical christmas colors, red and green, where seen on
the streets of Addis the last weekend in november – as 16 ooo runners went on
the 10k track through the city for the „Great Ethiopian Run“.
Surprisingly and unexpectedly it rained quite heavily
yesterday – so I took the opportunity of this winter-like weather and started
decorating the livingroom fort he holidays. This year our christmas tree
doesn’t need a lot of space or water – just a sewing machine to sew in some
button holes for the lights...
I love that you did this with the Ikea fabric! It came out well. I really wanted to try it but never even got around to buying the fabric.
AntwortenLöschenThanks so much for your comment about the Auktionhaus here in town; I'll be checking that out soon. I can't believe I didn't know this (or that people I asked didn't know, either)! Thanks!
